Today was HOT mmmm ( If you know what I mean )
we went hiking in the old part of the city. 
Unfortunately all the interesting shops were closed. Had a steamy hot cup of hot chocolate. 
Then we got the bus (158). If it weren't for those really nice people in the bus we would have fucking missed our stop

We also saw the cutest bag the conversation went like: me: omg look at that bag, it's so cool

shop assistant: there's also this coloor it's cool

me: this is so freaking cool

And sang karaoke at a 'baraki' that the 'intrence' was free but we decided to join them from the outside.
bitch we do love bus rides!

Natalie Yiaxi's work is hosted by the known bookshop Mouflon,

the wonderful work by Natalie,

a book collection made out of exhibition invitations

pictures from the web and all the interesting things in her mind .

I was really excited to see Natalie's work, and i was more than pleased.

around carnival time we all know that jumbo is one of the best ways to get into the funky mood with out spending a big amount of money

so laura and I decided to have a road trip with setting our destination to be jumbo,

as you can see in the pictures i'm wearing my new sweatshirt, (New Fashion, is the brand) that i was planning to wear at the cheap art exhibition. ironic enough?

however we had a wonderful time teasing people's taste and being divalicious as a right cypriot visiting jumbo should be.

cheap art (only by price) was for sale and wonderful artistis where giving us the opportunity to buy extraordinary work up to 500 euros,

Degas,

We had(and still do) the honor to have Degas's work exhibit in Limassol,

the full collection of statues featuring the famous young ballerina,

i must say the ballerina blew me away and her wonderful little skirt

the most convenience thing for me to do was to ask my class mates to pose next to the statues in ballerina poses and join them for a dance.

I must admit i'm obsessed over Soteris,

he's work but especially him his first solo exhibition is launched at omicron gallery, by the first you look you can see superb drawing and exciting techniques, but if you hear soteris talking about his work you get immediately deeper in the concept and enchanted by his words,

any one of us can see himself having a Disciple or two that represents you the most.

the exhibition ends on the 17th.

Usually there is bad communication between the works in group exhibitions
the drawing room, an exhibition by the 'highlights' of the art industry,

launched at Omikron gallery

a show formed by a number of artists of many styles

it was definitely one of the best exhibitions i've been to lately

the yellow floor just helps you feel comfy and enjoy great art.
unfortunately the exhibition is over on the 14th jan.

Marias toumazou second solo exhibition launched at APOTHEKE

the exhibition is in two parts, first(in my opinion) the more general pieces that can help you get into the concept and the second part the finalized piece (that blew me away).

the fact that the exhibition is divided makes your journey into her thoughts a little more adventurous, but you have to be really openminded and capable to accept the way she thinks.

first visit the main work and afterwards the rest of the exhibition so you can understand where she's aiming at and the quality of her talent.

i do love Maria's work

but most of all i love her.

the new solo exhibition by CONSTANTINOS TALIOTIS

at Ex-Cyprus Airways Offices (specially made into a gallery)

The coldest vibe that I ever felt from a gallery but, I must admit that the whole thing came together. It quite looked like we were examining the murder that the photographs captured.

The exhibition contains directed photographs that let your imagination go to the darkest underground mafia-ish side of Cyprus.

Touches of humor into the work makes it a hundred times more interesting and leads you into the weirdest scenarios.

i believe that Xaritini is one of the most talented artists.

Her work captures you in every way. we all do truly love her and she deserves all the best, last night was the opening of her exhibition and Maria Panosian talked about her, the most honest words i've heard from someone in the last year,. if you haven't visited the exhibition yet you must, it's truly beautiful. the most eye catching portraits i've ever seen. oh and Lakis was the star of the night(to be honest) the wonderful sheep-looking dog with the funky personality.

everything looked great until, the show was about to start.

the fact that most of the people attending the event weren't able to enjoy the performance, was sad

i personally tried standing up but it ain't got any better.

i really enjoyed the music though (by nico stephou)

Stelios Ermogenides

an artist with a Psychedelic mind, doodles that trap your imagination and take you to a different place
I was impressed by the amount of time and energy he put into his work, the structure of every line and overcoming the fear of knowing that mistakes don't have an 'undo' button.
My personal favorite was the 'I'm ready' piece. The vibrance of the colours and the beautiful gold framing, got me thinking of how ready i was for any new adventure.
Everything about the event was wonderful, great art, interesting people and white gallery.
(p.s. never go to an exhibition on your own)
The exhibition's opening was on Friday (18.11.11) and it’s launched at “is not gallery” until December 5 2011.

Istoria is settling down

On Saturday the 5th of November, I went to the opening of this new vintage store with my wonderful friend Laura. The clothes and furniture were great, we were both surprised at how good the place looked.
Maybe I drank a little bit more than i should have at the after party, but that only helped me at having a great time, despite the fact i actually laid down on the floor inside the store.
In the store you can find some great pieces at fairly reasonable prices. I am glad that Lydia, the owner, started such a great business because unfortunately it's quite rare to come across a vintage store here in Cyprus.
The opening event was definitely worth going to and I was very happy to have the chance to meet some really nice people,
